Welcome aboard, there are plenty of good shops in the Fort Worth area. The main lake that many Fort Worth shops use is Wheeler Branch Reservoir in Glen Rose, it's roughly an hour away.
As for shops, I'd recommend DFW Scuba.
DFW Scuba - Haltom City
Lone Star Scuba - Fort Worth
High Tide Scuba - Mansfield
The Scuba Shop - North Richland Hills
These are just a few local shops in the area but there are more especially as you head eastward towards Dallas area.
