"New" Halcyon Scout?

I just picked up a halycyon scout off eBay. The listing said the light was new, but when it arrived it appears new but was only wrapped in bubble wrap in a generic cardboard box. Not sure what the packaging for a new scout normally looks like.

Has Halcyon revised the Scout?
This is what the scout looks like on the Halcyon site:

The one I now have looks exactly like this Mini-Scout, except it is a little longer and holds three C's.

Has Halcyon started adding the more aggresive grip to the full size Scout?

I dont believe that there is any packaging for Scouts.

I spoke to Halcyon this morning, and the new Scout does in fact have the "more-agressive" texture on the body similar to the Mini-Scout.
