Hello! I have been kayaking/snorkeling our Oregon Lakes for years. I LOVE to be on the water or under it. I figured if snorkeling lakes... with weeds; salamanders and other 'booty'(a lawn chair; head of a golf club; many golf balls; tackle box; red sweater so far ;D)then the ocean must be very much better. But I am into other outdoor sports and so kind of thin for what I can afford to go from snorkeling to scuba. I just got a tank a few days ago and am looking for the rest that will make me 'scuba'.

I hope to work my way to better dives and places. But I have enjoyed the lakes(no sharks or jellys!) too and it is all about having fun.
I am more comfortable underwater; it feels like I am supposed to be there.

I hang glide to, and the feeling of leaving the ground is wonderful...but to be underwater I think can offer so much more...once I am better set up for it.
I have read much on this site already and I am glad to have found it.
