New guy from downunda - a new U/W noise-maker?

Hello to all, I'm new to this website and, hopefully will find it interesting and useful.

Been living in Australia for 10 years, formerly a West Coast US native. Love the diving in Australia, though dive businesses are not very developed here.

I'm a mech engineer, product designer by trade, and I've got some design ideas for underwater gear I've been developing.
One is a battery-powered noise-maker about the size of a small maglite flashlight.
No more rattling ball-bearings in tube. Push a button and send a click. Got your choice of flashlight or laser-pointer at the other end.

Any feedback on this idea? Comments welcome.
