I agree with you totally - all I can say is "IF" you want to make a permanent attachment, dive the plate/wing combination a number of times and be sure you know where you want to mount the wing. I had probably 20 dives on my Freedom Plate/Mach V setup before I drilled the plate. I had zip-tied it in place for half-a-dozen dives before making it permanent.

By the way - there are several ways to setup the Oxycheq Ultralite Plate with the wing - it took me about 8-10 dives before I found the best arrangement for me.

But once you find the "sweet spot" both systems are awesome.
