We've published another new article to the website (and soon to a Handbook) that covers Housing & O-ring Maintenance. This covers cleaning procedures and questions, along with some handy "Do's & Don'ts" about this very important aspect of taking a camera underwater!

Enjoy!

Hey Jack, cool article.
My only suggestion would be to emphasize more that users check the surfaces that the o-rings mate to with the same detail as they are checking the oring itself. It would suck to meticulously clean an oring only to have the weasel hair settle into the groove. Youi do mention to look it over, but far more attention seems to be given to the ring itself.

Also, minor detail, but in: "2) O-rings are probably the most important and miss-serviced parts.
In addition to the large, noticeable o-ring on the back cover, every control has one or two, as well as the ports, and strobe or other bulkheads. Some are black, some are blue or grey, most should be serviced, but some should not." (bolded for emphasis)
Black, blue or grey but all the pictures show servicing of red rings. You might want to add red to that list.

Both good points and I'll fix. Thanks.

Jack
