Is there any news about the release date for your newly redesigned fins? How will the new monoprene design compare with the old model in terms of weight?

OK...I got my own questions answered with a call to DR. Mike (who was super helpful) said that they have worked everything out with the new materials and are just waiting for them to ship. They are HOPING that the new fins will be there in the next 30 days, but they have no guarantees.

I've been considering Hollis (need the XXL, which also aren't available) and the OMS Slipstreams, but I think I'll wait for the Dive Rites for the combination of control, power and lighter weight.

Hi Rye,

I'm glad you got your question answered already. We will post on our BLOG as soon as the fins are in. So keep an eye out for it... it won't be long now.

Best,
Ag

My understanding is that it will look exactly like the old version, but will use monoprene in the construction.

What happened to the small and medium fins? You just got the new production run in April, and I see the mediums are listed as out of stock and the smalls are completely missing from the Dive Rite Express site.

Hi,

We aren't happy with the material performance on the fins, so we're holding orders until our vendor can satisfy our requirements. Sorry for the delay. We are more than frustrated about this.

Kathleen

Why the subtle design change? My new fins are not as "flat" as my old set.
Thanks

Hello? Did I say something wrong?

Probably not. Try contacting Dive Rite directly as they may not always have someone monitoring the boards.
