Doing Deep dives?
Shallow Dives?
Want a computer that does ALL of that without of being conservative?

The new Dual Algorithm computers from Oceanic do just that!

This is a unique feature to the Oceanic product line. Please don’t underestimate its value. It gives you the ability to select the algorithm that is appropriate to the type of diving you will be doing on any given dive trip. No other recreational dive computer in the world does this!

Now I love me some gadgets, but this looks kind of silly. All dive comps have "conservatism" settings already. And honestly, most divers don't understand the one algorithm they have now--how many are going to use this product correctly?

Maybe next model year, we'll have a 3-algorithm dive computer, and then the year after that someone will just rocket to the head of the pack with a 5-algorithm model... Finally, those who dive reverse multilevel no-deco profiles with deep stops on alternate Mondays will get the support they need, and no longer be needlessly robbed of bottom time by antiquated algorithms!

But around that time, I think an industry leader will introduce a completely revolutionary dive computer--with 1 algorithm. Yes, I can see it now... New for 2015, introducing the "Blue One" from Scubapro, with just one easy to use algorithm, backed up by the most rigorous science, and suitable for all recreational diving.

Oh, wait. I have a computer like that right now. :)

Just pulling your leg, I do enjoy your new product posts. But this one isn't on my Xmas list. I'd have to see some very dramatic differences in the profiles.
