Well I got it wet last night. Granted it was just in the pool but I couldn't wait.
Man is this thing sweet! I was totally blown away over how much control I had and the PERFECT horizontal position I stayed in while swiming and hovering totally motionless.

Just or fun I tried to do a fin pivot on the bottom in about 12 feet of water and as I breathed in I would simply rise a foot or so and then drop back down. horizontal. No way to fin pivot unless I were to weight my feet. Very cool!

I was so worried that the Hog Harness would be uncomfortable and awkward but man was I wrong. This is the way to go for me, Simple and easy. Putting it on in and out of water was a breeze and the freedom of movement was as if I was wearing nothing at all.

I do believe this is the best "SCUBA" purchase I have made to date.

Now I can't wait to get it into real water!

Welcome to the club , seems like most of us have said the same thing . To sum it up for me , new element/level of diving

Glad to hear you like it. I love mine as well and consider it to be the absolute best money I've ever spent on equipment. It's too bad it took me so long to discover it in the first place.

For what it's worth the major reason I went with Tobin's gear is Tobin himself. He's got some ideas that just seem to work and he's easy to talk with, not full of it. You'll love diving this gear.

Hey glad to hear you got your new BP/W! I knew for sure you'd love it. That DSS setup is just awesome. I know exactly what you mean about trim. It makes it so easy to go horizontal whether I'm dry in cold water or wearing swim trunks in warm water.

I think my DSS rig may be my best SCUBA purchase ever, too. Just fantastic gear.

See you in Kona in May! :)

See you in Kona in May! :)

I am getting totally stoked for this trip to Kona. It’s been way too long since my last stay and I plan on doing a bunch of diving although I do have some maintenance to do on the place while I am there.

As for the wing, I'll tell you what, Getting the Hog webbing on the plate was a cinch. Getting those cam bands threaded in was a pain in the butt! I need to go back to puzzles 101 or something. I still don't know if they are right but they held and that’s all I care about.

Also having the dump in a different location is a bit weird and I was so used to a shoulder dump that I need to spend some time in the pool and retrain my brain so I have the habits right if or when I need them in a pressure situation.

Im glad you like it, but Im not suprised!

I remember when you were asking about BP/W systems. I'm glad you like it as much as we'd hoped. I was also amazed when I first used one, and now that I have to occasionally use my Seaquest Balance I am reminded why I dive the BP. And don't get me wrong, the Balance is a nice BCD, as BCDs go...

May you have many great SCUBA experiences with it.

I'm going on vacation to Curacao in two weeks and I'm running around buying things to prepare for the trip. DSS is just up the block from where I work, and every day at lunch I'm sorely tempted to stop in there to pick up a bp/w for the trip. Problem is: my wife would kill me!

Oh well, one of these days...
