I Everyone,
My name is Joe and I'm new to scuba diving and the diving community. My certification dive was cut short back in September due to Hurricane Gustav. I completed 3 out of my 4 dives that weekend, but the Dive Master deemed the last day unsafe. My first dive experience was definately one I will not forget. I went from training in a pool to diving in 8-10ft swells and terrential rain. My dive partner and I had a blast!!! Even though he got sea sick and puked through his regulator...it was pretty funny. Our dives were in the Keys at South South Dry Rocks and Anchor Chain. My make up dive is this Sunday at Weeki Wachie, it's a cold water spring dive an hour and half north of St. Pete. It seems like a fun dive because you dive with manatees and otters. My dive shop told me that you can see everythig you want to in one dive. I will be just an open water diver after Sunday, but I'm looking to become a advanced open water diver shortly. Can anyone recommend any fun specialty dives in the area?
