Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself here and see what the board is like here.

I started diving this spring, getting my NAUI OW certification done in April/May and took my 1st dive trip to Roatan at the end of June. I have ( at this point ) 25 dives total and will be going for Nitrox over the next few months.

Seems like there's a few fairly local quarries and other locations around here to keep my skills up and develop more.

thanks for your time.

welcome to the board. Yes there a few around, DutchSprings is the only one I have been to so far. Its very nice.

thanks guys, I'm in southwest PA ( Pittsburgh Area ). Some of the places my local shop goes to are in Central Pa and Eastern Ohio.

WELCOME to SB.com :blinking:

enjoyed diving with you in Roatan. look forward to many more dives with you ;)

I'm in SW pa as well. Will be at a quarry near New Castle next weekend doing OW checkouts. If you want more info let me know. Kinda shallow, but warm and decent vis along with a dive shop on site that has been there for 50 years.

Thanks, Kim :) I look forward to them as well.

Jim, I'll have to check and see what's going on. My niece is being baptised on Saturday, but Sunday might be doable. Have to get with my dive shop and see about renting some gear.

thanks!

Jim,
Does the shop that's on-site do rentals for gear? Regulator,BC,Tank, etc? How warm will the water be there? Will I need to rent a thin wetsuit or will my diveskin be plenty?
Is there a link to the dive site?

I'm thinking that I will be there on Sunday if everything works out.
