Hey I am new diver and new to Scuba Board. I live in north central FL (Gainesville area) and I travel down to the St. Pete/ Tampa area on a regular basis. Non of my frineds are into diving and I really want to get some dives under my belt. I love being in the water... If anyone else is looking for a partner let me know. I have only been in freashwater and am really looking forward to a saltwater dive. So, hit me up...

Welcome to SB......There are several places around G-ville where you can dive fresh water w/o a buddy but still have people around..Ginnie Springs is one... On the weekends there's always divers there and Blue Grotto is another...Check w/a/your LDS they are usually happy to hook people up w/a 'buddy'.....If you don't mind the drive down to Venice, for some fossil hunting you can do some shallow salt water dives [30' or less, good start for new divers, viz can get low sometimes ]...They'll be glad to help you or you can do the dive solo w/a flag as many do......PM me if you need more info......

Welcome...I'm new too :)

If you ever come to the panhandle there are lots of good wrecks to dive, so feel free to look me up.
