Welcome to SB. There is a lot of good reading on here and lots of friendly divers. If you're local to South Orange County there is a dive club that does shore dives at Laguna Beach every Sat. I usually dive on Fridays and Saturdays. If you ever need a dive buddy let me know. Have fun here and dive safe.
