Hello everyone!

I am a currently uncertified diver, working on my open water certification. I recently went on a dive in St. Thomas, and fell in love. I have completed my PADI classwork and pool dives, and am looking forward to when the Chicago weather gets warm enough to get my open water dives done.

I look forward to being an active member, and hopefully gaining a wealth of knowledge from all you veterans.

Good luck with your classes. It's good to see another Chicagoan on the board. Watch the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew forum on Scubaboard for diving opportunities in the Chicago area.

welcome aboard!!
it's a long wait til may/june
this board can help ease the pain-and you can learn alot too
congrats on finishing your confined waters
see if you can work on skills w/next class in pool
makes the winter pass faster

Just remember as you sit in some cold, low-visibility quarry outside Chicago during your open water dives; this is as bad as it gets. Everywhere else you go after that will be warmer and/or will contain interesting creatures or plants.

Welcome to the board!
