"Hello everyone! I’m Shahjalal, a Mechanical Engineering student from Bangladesh. I’m passionate about marine life and dream of diving in the Bay of Bengal. Any tips for beginners? Excited to join this community!"

Hi! Welcome to this international community.

Tips for beginners:
  • diving is a sport, it is a skill, and if you want to become proficient, you need to dive a lot
  • there are many diving courses and certifications that are beneficial
  • it's still underwater swimming, so you'd benefit from a skill to swim efficiently forward, backwards, sideways, turn, turn and reverse, do all this while descending or ascending in a controlled manner...
  • and it will take time to learn but it's fun, really fun
  • depth is not a requirement, you can do everything at shallow depth, where the sun shines and the surface is close
  • become familiar with you buoyancy control device (BCD) and your regulators so that you can solve all the small issues that sometime manifest themselves; it's not the equipment issue but the panic that kills, usually (yes, of course there are exceptions, but a calm mind and previous experience make most minor issues a lot safer)
  • do not take unnecessary risk, be safe!

G'day assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh from Australia mate!
