Hi fellow divers,

I will make this short - feel free to ask questions.

I am 60 years old, fit and healthy, certified through SSI in Utah July 2011, 44 OW dives and 6 specialty cers since, making me SSI "advanced diver" certified, working on my SSI "master diver" cert, but obviously still a newbie!!:)

Have all my own equipment except tanks. Have been diving at least twice a months since July 2011 and plan to continue that. Have dived Hawaii x 2 (july/October), Adriatic Sea x 1 (september), plans for Australia, Caledonia and Fiji Feb 2012, but otherwise do dive-along to local Lakes with the local SSI dive community with which my son and I (we dive together) are growing tight. I have done several drift-diving, wreck diving, night diving and storm diving (all within my comfort level and with a local Dive Master), but will dive local "ponds" independently with my son as my buddy.

That's it, love it, feel extremely good and comfortable being able to find my neutral buoancy at any depth and now being able to navigate vertically (or staying put) solely with my breathing, I realize I am a late starter and have much to learn, maybe too much for my remaining life-time, but am having a blast at least trying to get ever better, realizing that I will never be "advanced" as it is defined here!

(Will the fact that I am getting a SCUBA diving kokopelli tattoo besides my biking Kokopelli tattoo this Thanksgiving make me advanced? - :D - just kidding of course!! - about the advanced - not getting the tattoo - that is dead serious!!))

Welcome to Scubaboard.
Fourty four dives in roughly four months. You have the diving bug for sure. A large number of inland divers are not as lucky as us to have warm water available 365 days a year.
For a more 'local' flavor checkin at Rocky Mountain Oysters or write a report of your trips when you return in the Regional Forums and Dive Clubs
