New Diver and New to the Boards...

Hello Everyone,

My name is Britney, and I live in Hayden, Alabama. I was just cerified with PADI last October and have yet to go on any real dives. I look forward to getting to know more about Scuba Diving and the great people of these forums. )

I just purchased my first piece of dive equipment yesterday!! A pink ScubaPro LadyHawk with an AirII. )

thank you.. I figured if we dive enough it would be worth it to buy our own vs. renting. Now on the hunt for a reg and a computer.. )

Addison.. I personally have never been there. But I just mapquested it and it's less than an hour from my house. Is there diving there? Or did you go for other reasons?

Congratulations on getting certified Britney, buying your own equipment always helps, makes it so much cheaper 'cost per dive' wise, not to mention you feel so much more comfortable in your own equipment!

Ahh okay.. My grandparents have a place on Smith Lake not far from there. Thanks for the advice!.. New Stuff seems so high, but I feel like I know what I'm getting if I go with new. My fiance bought a whole dive set for less than 700, LUCKY!.. I've already spent almost that much with my BCD.. But I had to have pink and I wasn't going to settle for anything else. lol.. I'm sure you know how women are, stubborn as h3ll.

Ahh, I also see your from Georgia, what part? My fiance lives in Kennesaw.
