Hello all.

I am new diver, only just doing my PADI OW in Thailand January this year whilst on long term travel.

I got tired of moving from place to place, and enjoyed diving so stopped in Nha Trang Vietnam and have now completed my PADI Divemaster internship.

Still a very new diver, but heading back home to Australia, Darwin in the NT specifically to take up my "real" job as a SCADA Engineer again. Hopefully get involved with the local scuba club there.

Have already been a bit of a lurker, and reading some thingsfrom the boards and discussing them with my instructor. Being a DM in Vietnam opens your eyes to how things are done....compared to what PADI says. Saying that, I stick by the book as far as I know, and my instructor is by the book too, but seeing a dive leader then a student get hooked up on a fishing line from a tourist boat on a coral reef is one of those things that I didn't expect to happen when I started diving....
