Hello Megan,

I'm planning a trip to Abergris for my son(14) and I. Not really a dive trip(yet) although we plan to get certified in the fall when he turns 15.

Anyway, from what I've read from the website and brochure, that with Tranquility Bay, being at the North end of the island, that it's somewhat more accommodating to snorkeling off beach to the reef?

Since my son is 14 there's not much of a nightlife aspect so I'm thinking TB would be a great spot.

Can I please get have your opinion?

Thank you!

Pat

Yes Tranquility Bay is a great place to snorkel from the beach to the resort, and in fact the only resort on Ambergris Caye at which you can do so.

It is also very safe as being the last resort we have very very very little boat traffic to be concerned about. The water is also very shallow and there is plenty of marine life to see.

All in all TBR is a great place for families, snorkelers and divers.

Hope this helps! If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.
