So here is the part that resonates with me the most.

According to a National Transportation Safety Board report that pieced together how the tragedy unfolded, soon after a crew member awoke to popping and crackling noises, and saw a glow coming from the middle deck, the ship's captain, Jerry Boylan, made a mayday call to the Coast Guard at 3:14 a.m. Crew members attempted to get down to the lower decks but were turned back by flames. Boylan and the others jumped overboard.
...
Boylan and the other crew members were already in the water when the diver who made the video started recording at 3:17 a.m., three minutes after Boylan made the mayday call, according to relatives of two unrelated victims who said FBI agents explained the sequence of events to them.

Not sure of your point John. The wheelhouse was literally on fire with the deck under Boylan's feet starting to burn and smoke filling the place to where, as he said in the call, he couldn't breathe. Are you criticizing him for jumping from that scenario? And don;t forget he gets picked up by other crew and then re-boards the burning boat.

The owners of the Conception couldn’t care less, criminal incompetence

Respectful would be not to look at any of that stuff not bring it on here and just shutting up

Morbid curiosity serves nothing anywhere, with pleasure from misfortune a blot on the soul

Happy, the video will not be made available to the public or it is posted anywhere. The video was only watched by relatives of victims.

At the point where the fire was discovered you would have needed to be tied to a dock with a fire department attack team in bunker gear and SCBAs on the gangway with a charged hose to have any chance of fighting the fire.

The lack of someone awake to notice the fire doomed everyone, not what they did after they discovered it.

And don;t forget he gets picked up by other crew and then re-boards the burning boat.

Actually, the article states that:
"Boylan told investigators he tried to reboard the boat but could not."
