New Canon-ite

Well it looks like I will be joining the ranks of this board. I just placed my order for the a620 with the canon housing. Any advice or pointers on this camera?

Hi! I made the same purchase last week and just ordered the ikelite housing today. I don't have any tips since I have not used it yet.. I am leaving on a dive trip this weekend so hopefully will have some pics and info to share when I get back!

I can say that I did a lot of research and have heard nothing but good things about the A620 on this forum and several others. Can't wait to get it in the water!

I have a new A620 on the way as well, so no pointers to share, but I'll be following this thread in hopes of getting some! Sounds like it should be a good camera.

The A620 is a fairly popular camera and has been the topic of numerous discussions here.

My Apologies, well you can just go back a few pages in the Canon forum and you'll tons of thread about the A620 or simply do a search..

I shoot with the A610 in the Canon WP-DC90 housing, you can see some of u/w pics with it here

Jamdiver, great photos! I've seen quite a few of your photos on the board. Do you have a flash on your camera and if so, what brand?

I'm thinking of buying a camera and housing and the A620 looks quite affordable.

No strobe yet.....

Mostly manual white balance in my shots a few i've used the flash for macros mostly...
