Interesting. Seems like the manufacturers are trying to come up with BP/wing-type BCs that are not actually BP/wings (Poseidon BeSea, SeacSub Icaro Tec etc.). This was the case a few years ago with the introduction of various Dive Rite clones/inspired products (Scubapro X and S-Tek Systems, OMS IQ Pac, and the relatively recent Deep Outdoors Matrix and Ralf Tech WR1)—basically harness/wing BCs with soft lumbar supports. The emphasis now seems to be rigid plastic (Poseidon BeSea and the new Apollo) or metal back packs (Icaro Tec).
