Hi all,

I guess I haven't been on the board in a long time, I think I've got that bad habit of only visiting when I've got a trip planned or am about to plan one. :(

But I thought I'd come by and reintroduce myself and let you all know about my great score! What are the chances that a guy who used to own a dive shop that recently went out of business would be having a garage sale, featuring a handful of brand new BC's and other assorted gear? He lives about 5 minutes away, we had a great conversation, and I finally picked up BC's for my wife and I, brand new never used! I got her a Scubapro Glide 500 and myself an XS Scuba Advantage for $300 total. The guy told me to let him know if I ever had questions or anything. Now it's time to start regulator package shopping, then it's on to a life of no more rentals!

This guy threw out an interesting fact at me, he said that people with their own gear will use upwards of 25% less air than when they rented because they're more relaxed with their own gear and the gear is typically in better shape. Interesting :dontknow:

Oh yeah, the reintroduction: I'm a stay at home dad with 3 and 7 year old boys. Been certified since 2005, currently have our AOW's. I spend a majority of my winter coaching youth hockey, including both of my sons.
