I was given a drysuit by my LDS that someone turned it in. The guy who had it died and the wife brought it in. It appears that this suit was never used. There is still sharpie writing on the soles of the feet and absolutely no evidence that this suit was ever used. It's basically pristine.
It was custom made by Otter Bay Suits in Monterey, CA in 1994. That's what the label inside says anyway.
It is a 7mm neoprene suit made of probably Rubatex G-231N rubber lycra outside nylon lined inside. It's heavy tough stuff.
This suit is sized for someone about 6'-4" to 6'-5" and more less a bean pole. I tried to get into it and the bottoms of the legs were too skinny. Birdie was known for making the lower parts of her drysuits skinny to keep air down in the legs. It has a super heavy duty rear zip across the back, it has a 3 mil skin out neck seal that you turn in and the wrist seals are the same way, you turn them in. The neck seal will need to be replaced because the rubber is showing signs of cracking but it might be easily fixed with some neoprene glue or aquaseal if you're handy.
It's TOTALLY FREE to a good home.
It would be a shame for it to go to a landfill.
Local pick up only, I don't want to ship it unless I absolutely have to, but if I do you'll be paying the shipping (actual shipping cost).
I will post pics if someone wants, just let me know.
