Here is a pic of my new book that arrived today. Never thought I would consider buying this book, but putting all things aside......ignorance would be the only reason not to check it out. A good diver is always learning and so far what I have seen from this book, I am not dissapointed.

In order to argue the concept, it should be mandatory to have read this book first. Many of the concepts the author talks about is always mentioned on this board by certain members, who undoubtedly own a copy or have read the book.

Hey, it's a great book, along with many others. Enjoy it and learn some good things from it. You might even want to take a class afterwards ;-).

How do you like it so far? I ordered a copy over the weekend and am awaiting it's arrival. I'd like an opinion before "the DIR enforcers" show up at your house in the middle of the night and drug you :D
 
I like it so far, it mainly talks about the benefits of the system and it does talk about the shortcomings of other agency's training, but it is very PC about it.

I am extremely pleased with it soo far, it is helping learn more about what DIR is all about.

I've read the book and have met Jarrod once.

Both will be quite a shock if your only exposure to DIR is from dealing with DIR commandos.

I haven't had the pleasure of taking the DIRF course yet though. Do you want to take it together? :wacko: R

I missed it out my way in July because I wasn't leaning towards the dark side at the time.

But I am staring at the blackhole and it is sucking me in...awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
