Two years ago I replaced my St Jude stimulator with a Boston Scientific stim. The St Jude was tested to @100ft. After questioning the support staff at Boston, they don’t have any supporting information for depth limits. Does anyone here have a Boston Scientific stimulator, and what’s the maximum depth you’ve tested it to? Thanks.

Do you have a doctor's clearance to dive with a neuro stimulator?

Ditto @tursiops above; hopefully you've had a conversation about diving with the provider who follows you for whatever condition you need the stimulator for.

Re depth limits, the manufacturer guarantees function to the test depth. If you dive beyond that, it fails, and your insurance company gets wind of it via your medical record, you could end up responsible for the cost of replacing it.

Any general physician really wouldn’t know, and would only refer you to check with manufacturers. Many dive with stimulators. I was specifically looking for someone that either has a Boston Scientific stim, or knows someone with one that dives. I’m considering removing it anyway, so at worst it wouldn’t just work. It won’t harm me. Thanks though.

Thanks DDM. I’m must likely removing anyway. I’ve already checked with manufacturers. They don’t have any conclusive evidence for a depth restrictions.

Also, I’m going to make a hard floor around 60 ft. St. Judes stim, which I had replaced, was rated max at 90. I will be conservative.
