Hey! Some of you guys may know Wilhelmina, who DM's for me when I can't be there. She is very sweet and kind, and has dedicated herself to helping others, and now she needs us to pitch in too. If you have a minute, have a read about the cause, and if you can spare a few hours to help out at the festival, shoot her an email at the address indicated below.

Thanks in advance, and I'll be there on Thursday!

Hundreds of people will gather in beautiful Coconut Grove for four very special days to participate in a festival that proves what can be done rather than what cannot. No Barriers USA has partnered with Shake-A-Leg Miami to provide the event to professionals aspiring to break barriers in their fields and individuals hoping to overcome their personal challenges. No other event brings these two populations together in one arena to benefit from one another.

And ADA members are invited to volunteer to help staff the Diveheart Coalition (including ADA) booth at the festival. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Wilhelmina Stanton at
wilhelminastanton@hotmail.com

Each day will be about sharing, partnership and discovery. Each evening will be about inspiration, exploration and accomplishment. No Barriers Festival 2009 at Shake-A-Leg Miami Sea Base will replace our perceptions about disability and personal challenges with a renewed belief in what is possible, and what will be in the future.

The message of the festival is a universal one to which everyone can relate. Through the work of these festivals, hundreds of people receive the most innovative, cutting-edge ideas, techniques and technologies which enable people with challenges to shatter their own personal barriers and live more active and adventurous lives.

One of the most important features of the festival is the interaction between scientists, manufacturers, pioneers, athletes, artists, and others.
