Need tips on eliminating backscatter

in Photoshop. Especially the big pieces, i.e. here on his back and under his nose.........

I got Photoshop LE with my C-4040 camera and all I've figured out so fae is you use the stamp tool. When you find out how, let me know will ya?
 
Just clone a spot near the backscatter and replace the backscatter with it.
