Hi Folks,

I am about to head off on my dive trip today and Jamie from athensathome solutions was kind enough to build me an interface for my
solution Nitrox computer... unfortunately there seems to be a bug with version 1.5.1 of the SDM software so that it doesn't recognize the interface. I have been searching the web but can't find the old version can someone help me get it? Thanks!

I still have it from when I downloaded it when I got my new laptop [don't worry mods, it's as-is from what was downloaded off their website]

PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it if you can handle a 2.5 meg zip file [and don't have filters in place to block zips due to the current rash of zip based viruses]

hehehe... bug with 1.5.1 to not recognize a third party interface? I think you got the finger pointed in the wrong direction.

The problem isn't that it doesn't recognize the interface because it technically does.... there's is another thread on this if you care to take a look... funny as you may think it is... this bug as shown the same results with suunto interfaces as well... Take it for what it is... a goof up.

I've been running 1.51 with an official suunto interface and I've never had any problems with it.

I bought my interface off of Ebay a couple of years ago for $75. Thats barely more then you sell them for. 1.5 isn't $75 more then 1.4, the software is free. But then again you alread know this or otherwise there wouldn't even be a market for what you are doing.

Also in the PC world with various serial controllers, BIOS / PNP, Win95/98/NT4/2K/XP ectera its much more likely to be a windows COM port problem then either an interface or SDM problem.

There's quite a market for it indeed... and you obviously didn't get my point... Anyone can buy something used for cheaper than new... But not everyone can get them for $75 on ebay... $25-$35 is quite a difference as well and if you ask anyone that has one of my interfaces... they will tell you that even only $25-$35 more for the actual suunto unit isn't worth the extra money. Wait til you slam that thing in a car door or step on it... see how you come out... suunto won't offer to repair it.

Someone in your town actually has one of my interfaces as well... was quite happy with it if I remember correctly.
