Cruising to Belize week of 21 August. Can anyone suggest a dive shop in Belize? Carnival wants to charge $150 for a two-tank dive.

Where are you going in Belize? If to Ambergris Caye, then I can personally recommend Amigos del Mar ...

Second For Amigos Del Mar. We dove with them in Feb . Excellent Dive shop , professional group. If your diving just out from their operation in down town Ambergris, ask for the Nurse shark feed dive . Picture a bunch of big puppies coming in for a juicy bone. We had them swimming between our legs and coming right up to us to see if we had anything for them. The trip out to the Blue hole is long (2.5 hr) but faster than most of the other operators in the area and very comfortable on thier big cruiser.Of course the Blue Hole dive goes with out saying. Good luck and Enjoy your trip.

Also recommend Pro Tech in Amgergris. Have dove with them two years running and they are great.

I was in Ambergris Cay in July. I dove with Ramons. Very good, plenty of non crowded boats. Excellent DM's. The only part I didnt like was the 45 min bottom time limits.

The cruise ships go to Belize City so you don't want a dive shop on Ambergris. The ships anchor a good bit out as it's shallow so you have to tender in, time may be a consideration.

Thanks for reminding me why I dont want to go on a cruise ship.
