CARZYDIVER:
I for the first time the other day have put a regulator in my mouth and took a few breaths from it, now the problem is that i can feel that i am going to have a seriouse case of dry mouth. or at least i think i will, i will definitly find out tonight when i go for my first pool session. if anyone can maybe give some pointers or if ther is another piece of gear i need. i would ike to nip it in the bud before it might become a problem, thanks,,,,,

I had that problem too but instead of spending lots of cash on the thing that attaches to the 1st stage i bought a cool little "camel back" like drink thing that attaches to my reg hose and goes into my mouth piece. at first i thought it would be hard to drink under water but it turns out that it is really easy

It is called a scuda, if you go online you will be able to find it, i got mine from my scuba shop

Good luck

Drink water, drink water, drink water and when you think you've had enough....... drink MORE water!
You forgot something here getwet2. You forgot to mention "Drink more water"! Shame on you ;)

Not only will it help with Dry Mouth but it could mean the difference of getting a DCS hit or not.

Drink lots of water but I like the "diver drugs" hard or soft candy. Before ,during, and after the dive just be careful. Nitrox seems not to be as dry.........Jack

dive freshwater ... if you get drymouth, just take the reg out for a second, little drink of water, and you're all good

(this is one of the less serious suggestions offered. I assume NO liability should you choose to take this advice. Common sense dictates keeping your reg in your mouth as much as possible)
