Another 1000 lumen dive light that runs on 18650's. I guess the yellow light is a new twist. What's the driver behind diving with a yellow light other than maybe nostalgia for diving with tungsten bulbs?

I'd like to see dive lights use 26650's. Results in a much nicer sized flashlight handle and has better capacity... and there's plenty of higher power CREE (or other brand) LED chips out there these days... where are all the 10,000 lumen lights?

I personally have no experience with this particular product, but always open to trying new stuff.

I have a Tovatec Fusion 1000 that uses the 26650 and also produces a yellow'ish light. Granted the capacity is crazy, but the flashlight itself has to be pretty bulky to accommodate the larger battery, and I didn't care for the hue of the beam in the context of diving. It has since been retired as my primary, but makes for a killer general-use flashlight around the house.

I currently use the Sealife Sea Dragon Mini 1300S and OrcaTorch D570-GL, both of which I believe use the 18650. They do require recharging more frequently; but they are much lighter and easier to handle, are brighter, and have a clear white illumination (+laser D570). Both are great in-use, but perhaps a little awkward to bungee-off securely due to their shapes. Also, 1300S has a poorly designed attachment point, but is otherwise decent light:

It powers by 18650 battery, maybe 26650 battery is good idea.

Tools required are a wall, a dark room and a measuring tape. Then it’s maths. Unlike lumens.
