Hi,
Need help in recommending a reliable, experienced drysuit repair tech/shop to fix the leak in my drysuit in the Los Angeles area.
The local distributor I bought the made-to-measure suit from ordered boots that were too big, then changed them out for the right size but screwed up the job so badly now it's leaking buckets from the boot seams. Trying to get them to do the right thing by me has given me so much grief, I've given up and would rather pay out of my own pocket to get it fixed.
My suit is a Santi E-motion trilam suit. Not sure if it matters, but the boot seams are glued over with Aquaseal and now resemble something like the trail of goo left by the Swamp Thing.
I don't know if the tech will need to clean off all the goo first before patching it.
My relative is travelling to LA and I've asked that she help me get the suit fixed. Would appreciate any recommendations on a shop that specializes in drysuit repair? I would not have any second chances to get it right as I live on the other side of the world, so would need to trust the shop to fix and test it thoroughly.
Thanks!
