Hi! We dive and our 12 year old does also, but 7 yrold does not. Looking at Iberostar Cozumel, or any good all inclusive in Belize or Costa Rica. Any Hints!! Please help. We have only been diving for two years. Thanks Jill

I also need some info. Me and my college/navy buddies are looking for somewhere cheap and warm to dive and hang out for spring break, pref. populated with good looking women. Also...nothing in US territory or areas where the drinking age is 21+.

If we could find a price including airfare from BOS (Boston Logan Intl) or MHT (Manchester, NH), food/drink, hotel and scuba that would be awesome. Don't know if it's possible, but anything along those lines would be considered.

Thanks!

Hi Jill,
I've stayed at Iberostar Cozumel and used Dressel Divers (the on-site dive operation) three times. Resort is very nice -- great grounds, terrific pool, very nice beach with shade and exceptional quality food. Dressel has big, new boats with an excellent dive staff. They dive conversative profiles (nothing real deep or super advanced) and are a little regimented on bottom times (usually 45-50 minutes max regardless of your ability to dive longer). I stopped using them because they were too conservative for my skill level (instructor). However, I think they would be an excellent choice for you and your son. But a word or caution. Iberostar took an awful hit from last season's hurricanes. You should check with them (or have your travel agent check) to verify that they will be operational when you plan to go. If you go, you'll have a great time.

We stayed at the Iberostar Cozumel last year and thought it was ok. The diving with Dressel divers was good for myself and my 13 year old. For advanced divers it may not be the best , but for us it was fine. We stayed at the Iberostar Lindo the previous year and that resort is much nicer, great beach and food. I would stay in the Riveria Maya and take a trip to Cozumel to dive. The beaches at Cozumel are very rocky and not too good for kids.

I really like Fiesta Premier in Costa Rica - great for divers and non-divers and they have activities going on all day, as well as events for kids.

I stay at the Allegro. Sand beach. I don't use their dive shop for trips though. I use dive with Martin. The Allegro is all inclusive and has plenty to do for kids. They have 3 restaraunts, bars, night life, etc... they are a little more expensive, but worth it. I paid between $700-$900, depending on the time of year. That is for 4 days, 3 nights.

I would, however, like to look at other hotels, just to see the differences first hand.

Who books the trips for Fiesta Premier? Does it include airfare? Approx. price?

Viviane owns the dive shop (Resort Divers) on the Fiesta Premiere property. I always go through her to make reservations for the hotel as they allow her to give a discount for a dive/stay combo. I'm including her info. below (but don't know the TOC of this site, so if it's not there, PM me and I'll send it to you).
I think Caradonna also books Fiesta Premier.
