Physically they're close enough that you shouldn't have any problems with fit/alignment afaik.
Does the housing have a LANC plug or Multi-AV plug?
IIRC correctly the HC9 only has the Multi-AV jack.
At one time you could get an adapter - probably still can somewhere.
