Below are the four setups that I have come up with. The first three are almost identical in price and more than likely one of these is going to be what I am picking.

What are your thoughts??

I can't comment among the setups you have listed, but I'll offer two things: One, almost everybody I've seen on the boards who has bought a harness like the Comfort harness has given it up for a Hog rig after a very short length of time. And two, putting together the most expensive options I could on the Deep Sea Supply site for a single tank rig, it cost $520. Choose the Hog harness and a less expensive wing, and you can knock a significant amount off that.

Good Catch. I forgot about DSS and their complete rigs. Looking at them it looks like I have gotten a little more expensive and I may be able to knock off alot.

Also consider plates that do not need a STA that will save you some coin as well. In addition, many of the board sposors offer 10% off.

Skip the OMS Comfort Harness i ditched mine after 2 dives...use a hog harness.

I use the OMS 32# wing and their STA and they are both quality pieces of equipment.

One more note check out aquatoyz.com for the OMS products they are an authorized dealer, they have a staff member here on SB (user IGoDeep)...I mention it because LP is out of stock of OMS items quite often.

Cheers.

Just for clarification, the HOG harness is simply the one piece harness. I agree, go with the DSS setup and skip any kind of harness that is not a simple one piece harness.

Put 4 D-rings on it. One on right hip, one on right shoulder, one on left shoulder, one on left hip.

Don't forget the crotch strap.

Are you planning to put back-up lights on your harness?

Ok here is what I went with;

DSS
Single Tank Rig w/ Medium Hybrid Kydex plate, Hogarthian Harness, LCD 30 Single Tank Wing w/ 22 mil Bladder

I decided on the HOG harness due to some of your comments. I was on the fence and decided with your help. I like the fact that you can Web Your Own harness and If you ever need to replace it you can do it wherever you are at if you have some webbing.

I chose the Kydex plate because I would like to be able to drop weight if I have to then have it strapped to my back.

I also had it shipped to work so I can avoid dealing with the UPS people if the shipment is sent signed reciept. :)

Thanks Guys. Ill be using this setup on the 26th when we go dive the rainbow river.

WARNING!!!

Using a DSS System is sure to put a huge smile on your face!
This may cause you to aspirate some of the water leaking in!
