Hi all,

I'm looking for information on a Danish University located in Sonderborg, Denmark and was wondering if we have any divers from Denmark on the board that might help me with my search. Actually, ANY help will be greatly appreciated. I did a Google but I'm not well versed in search techniques (yet!).

Anyway, I understand there is a university in Sonderborg that offers a graduate program in philosophy...English speaking and offering doctorate programs.

Can anyone help? Are you from Denmark and familiar with such a university? Are you fluent in internet searches and can help me learn how to do an effective search?

Hey Paddles....just from doing a quick google...this seemed to pop up first. http://www.sdu.dk/indexE.html. This is the english link. Searching on Google is very simple. Just put in a few unique search terms. To search for this I just put in "university sonderborg denmark", without quotes, and that page I linked is the first thing that came up. Hope this helps!

It seems as though the Sonderborg campus is more business and tech studies...I didn't see anything for philosophy..maybe there's another school around there.

Just received a note from Bubble-og with the same link...(thank you both!)

I looked at the Faculty section (Humanities), then Ph. D and Masters... and uh oh...no ENGLISH...ahhhh! The Sonderborg link doesn't say anything about philosophy...

There must be another university? I've tried searching under Denmark universities...Sonderborg universities...maybe I'm not doing it right? I know that depending on how I enter the words in the search will affect the outcome, correct?

Well, that's definitely closer...I was told this was an English speaking program; however, after looking at this site, couldn't tell ya if that's true...looks "greek" to me!!!!

My father told me to check out a Hans Christian Anderson Center but my searches haven't shown anything...can you help?

I need a class on friggin internet searches, that's what I need!
 
Just discovered SOME of the pages have English translations...but unfortunately not the ones I think I need to see...
 
ha! Yeah, I like how some pages are English and some aren't! Anyway, that page that Marc linked to is good, and it does mention at the bottom that Philosophy is the largest part of the school(or at least the faculty) and it's taught at all campuses, including Sonderborg...although the page about foreign students doesn't mention philosophy.

was just reviewing the site, and you're right...it seems to be mainly bus and tech...gotta find that philosophy program!! :icon_ques
