I'm looking to go diving for a week around thanksgiving (establishing an annual tradition, last year we went to Bonaire). I'd go back to Bonaire but my challenge this year is my wife is pregnant and obviously won't be diving (and I won't do shore dives alone and can't justify going to Bonaire to do boat dives).

So, I need a place that is reasonably priced, excellent diving that doesn't have me out all day, shore activities for my wife and three year old daughter to keep busy, good food and maybe something else to do for a day as a family (jungle, ruins, etc.). I'm considering Cozumel, Caymans, Turks & Caicos, Saba but am interested in other suggestions and specific recommendations on where to stay/dive.

Thanks.

Put my vote in for Cozumel...much like Bonaire, they cater to divers ;)

Caymans, T&C, and Saba are not cheap.

Cozumel is probably the least expensive and probably meets your needs better than others mentioned. Look at deals for Hotel Cozumel, ScubaClubCozumel (all-inclusive), Fiesta Americana or Casa del Mar:
Cozumel vacation, Mexico resort hotel rates - Bay Adventures
Caradonna Dive Adventures - Dive Travel and Vacations

another option might be Fantasy Island on Roatan:

Caradonna Dive Adventures - Dive Travel and Vacations nice family environment with a real beach and all-inclusive food and diving

If you are going Thanksgiving week, you better get on it now. Holidays usually fill up way ahead of time at most resorts, plus cost is up as well as airfare. :shocked2:

Try St Thomas. Lots to do other than diving, nice places to stay and great diving. But start making your plans NOW.

I third Cozumel.

That said, my wife and I went to Bonaire a few years back when she was pregnant and we went snorkeling at many of the same places we usually dive at and we had just as much fun snorkeling. Snorkeling in Bonaire is frequently under rated by divers. Plus, I had NO PROBLEMS finding buddies to dive with when I wanted to.

Have fun!

Thanks for the responses. We landed on Cozumel, the Virgin Islands would have been a nice choice but we've been there already (actually last time my wife was pregnant).
