Hi all. I'm new at all this so I need some seasoned help. I'm going to purchase a BC and I'm doing a ton of research before I commit myself, my safety (and purse) to a BC. I was originally going to get the Mares Pegasus but I understand that their BC's are usually not of the best quality. Then I was considering the Zena (figured if I'm going to pay out $$$ I might as well go for the gold.. Right?

So here's what I need it for...

Cold and warm dives in New Jersey area and down in the Caribbean mostly (wetsuits and drysuits... I'm trying to not have to buy more than 1 BC for now). Mostly for recreational use. My intention is to work my way through to Instructor level so I wanted something that with care would last. Also need for it to travel well... I am petite so I usually need an extra small. But I'm figuring that the Zena would work well because it can adjust easier for the drysuit and wet...

So, any opinions?

A great women's BC would be the Seaquest Diva or Diva LX, the LX being the more expensive yet higher quality. It's durable and has the sls lumbar support thats in my seaquest balance. Seaquest has always made high quality BC's you should give it a try

cant go wrong with a zeagle. it will last you a very long time. just remember before you buy try it on and make sure you like it. never buy a bc you have never tried on before. it could be a mistake.

Thanks! I'm going to a LDS (was going to go this weekend but the snowstorm killed that idea) so I'll call this week to see if they have it in stock to try on before I buy one... :)

Thanks. :) The snowstorm killed any idea of me going "shopping" this weekend. I'm hoping to pick one up soon to practice for my upcoming dives.
