Hi i am a new diver and new to the board. Nice to be here.

I just bought a new oceanic delta3 cdx5. I am so happy with it , although have'nt use it yet other than in the pool. I had it serviced and tunned from a LDS recently. It really breaths good and better than my old dacor fury reg. However, I have noticed that everytime you breath through the 2nd stage, it makes a hissing-clicking sound on the 1st stage. Even if you try to press the bcd inflator, you could hear the same sound. The LDS said that it is normal but I just don't trust them since they have no experience on the cdx5 model. I am a bit concerned about it so i am seeking help through this board. Is this kind of sound normal for any high performance reg? or is it only on the oceanic cdx5 model? Is this something that i really need to worry about?

and I don't recall ever hearing any noise coming from the first stage. I'll put it together in a few hours and try it out.

The second stage sometimes vibrates when I take a breath, but its usually when I'm sucking on it for dear life (tired, panic'd....)

I like my reg setup...

My Alpha VII reg wasalso making a screeching sound (slightly) upon inspiratiion, there is an adjustment to get rid of the noise. Also, be aware that there was a recall on some variation of the alpha cdx reg, with parts replacement zeN
