I and a buddy and our two wives are going diving this November in Cozumel. Need very nice beach for non-diving wives. Also, prefer all inclusive nice hotel so us divers can feel comfortable being away from our wives to dive.

ps We are experienced recreational divers - one a divemaster (other guy), the other advanced open water. Both have done 150+ dioves to date. Would love to have diving nearby or only a short ride from hotel. We dive regularly in Grand Cayman (every January) and did Dive Provo in Providenciales last November. Also dove at Curacao, Stuart Cove, Andros, Turkey and Cozumel a few years ago w/o wife

You should read the Cozumel forum for plenty of recommendations on where to stay and dive ops to check out! You have a TON of options when it comes to Cozumel. If your wives are not divers, I suggest staying closer to town, so the ladies can shop and go to resturants and such.

Cayman every January? Lucky dog! I love Cayman, Cozumel, Roatan... my 3 favs thus far but I keep searching!

We stayed at Cozumel palace last July and loved every minute of it. Very highly rated (check out the reviews on tripadvisor.com), great location near town (walking distance) great food and drink, great service. I just got an email from them saying that they now offer one 2 tank dive per day per room included in the price. Dive op is Aqua Safari's - dove with them and they were great.

The only downside for you is that the "natural" beach is more or less non-existant. It is waterfront, but on rocks. They have a very nice infinity pool and a manmade "beach" (sandy area adjacent to the pool area), though. I don't know if that is a deathblow for you guys, but if you can live with that, there are so many plusses to The Palace......

Let me know if you have more questions.....
