Need caribbean cruise port recommendations

Hi folks:
I alas don't dive but my husband does. He hates doing research so I'm here to get recommendations on dives in 2 cruise ship ports of call. Can anyone recommend dives and dive shops in Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas and Samana Dominican Republic?

In the Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas area, a highly reputable op. is Admiralty Dive, which my wife & I used to complete our last 2 OW cert. dives back in April '06 on our honeymoon cruise when we stopped there. The op. is often spoken well of by others on this forum.

I'm not familiar with Dominican Republic op.s.

You will find they're well-regarded on the forum. My wife is rather shy and can be a bit tough to please, and she was very happy with them.

I have done them both: Charlotte Amalie is pretty good, Samana is pretty poor (really low viz - very little marine life - bit like diving in a warm quarry).

I'd certainly agree the suggestion of Admiralty - they are a very nice bunch, and will pick you up right at the dock and drop you back afterwards (for a considerably cheaper price than the cruise ship excursion).
