Need Advice: where to go Aug 26-Sept 6

Hi,

I just found out that I can take a week/10 days vacation at the end of August and want to get in as much diving as possible but don't know where to go.

1. I can fly to Asia or the carribean (hope to use my miles - from LA)
2. I am single so don't want a place that is geared towards couples

Any suggestions on where to go?
Fiji?
Honduras?
Bonaire?
Belize?

Good for you, wherever you end up going you should have a great time. Without knowing specifically what you want to do or want to accomplish, I would suggest a liveaboard to get the most bang for your buck. I say this because you indicate that "you want to get in the most diving possible". Most vessels make an average of 5 dives /day . Secondly, if you can arrange your time accordingly and as you say use your miles-go Pacific. I belong to the So. Fla. U/W Photo Society and several of our members just returned not that long ago from Wakatobi. (I have also been there, but that was 2 years ago and I enjoyed myself enough to return in Nov.). They now own/manage the Pelagian liveaboard- http://pelagian.wakatobi.com . Due to this recent aquisition, I understand they are offering a 25% discount on select dates thru the end of this year. I was in Wakatobi in May and had a phenomenal experience. I second the motion on Waynes suggestion. The Pelagian will be covering more remote areas out of Wakatobi and the word is that it is a first class vessel. I have known the owners of Wakatobi since their opening and every year have considered going there. I finally made it on a last minute decision. The diving is some of the best coral diving in the World. Feel free to email me if you need any more details on travel to that part of the World and/or Wakatobi.
