Thanks to Duane Gabor for sharing his informative opinion about the Orcatorch D560 dive headlight based on his real-life experience!
😎
👌

" I just picked up the Orcatorch D560 light -as a utility device to supplement my primary light for recreational purposes. I have 2 other Orcatorch products -and full disclosure - i'm a professional instructor. I am tough on my equipment and tough to impress.

From a few weekends of diving with this light -I am pretty impressed with what you get:
1) Size - this thing is 1/2 the size of anything out on the market. In my pictures - i compared it to a Big Blue Al450 and a Big Blue pen light. Both are larger, heavier, and offer no better light performance than the D560. The size / weight footprint of the D560 amazing - small and powerful
2) Brightness - this utility light puts out a LOT of power on the spot you point it. For a little light -it's got a lot of performance
3) Battery - it's a simple AA battery- compatible with 14500 batteries, nothing hard to find or replace.
4) Packaging -it's got the light, extras like O-rings, and a mask clip - all included
5) Mask Option - I LOVE the idea of mounting this to my mask. Truth be told - I have never found a great solution for a mask light. I look with my eyes - not my head underwater. BUT it does fulfill the task. I thing the clip could use an upgrade - I did accidentally knock it off my mask strap on one dive - could be me - could be how well I clipped it - but the light stayed in the cradle - it is secured by a nice tight O-ring.
6) Utility light option - I dove again with this on a lanyard - and boy is this thing handy - out of the way size- and dangling off my wrist - super helpful. I probably would dive this regularly as a utility light on a lanyard before the mask mounting ongoing.

I personally think everyone needs an out of the way utility light - just as a backup - at a minimum. I would definitely recommend the D560. Please watch my entire review video for some hands on - and thoughts. "
