Hi Everyone,
I am in need of a dive buddy who is interested in doing 3-4 shore dives a day for the week of 4/19-4/24. I'm going with my family, also divers, but I have the advantage of youth over them and am a bit more of a nitrogen junkie than they are, so they suggested that I search for a similar dive buddy rather than stick with them. This will be my 3rd year of diving, my second trip to Bonaire, and I am Nitrox 1 certified. If you are also interested in obtaining your Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI) certification, I was considering pursuing that option to fill some of my time. Thank you for your time!

Welcome to the board. Wish I could help you but your a few months ahead of me :) You might want to try asking on the Bonaire board, you have a better chance of finding someone who is on island at the same time your are. www.boniaretalk.com

Jake, My husband and I will be arriving in April 19 also, we are stayting at the Caribbean Club. This will be our fourth time in Bonaire, we feel our home away from home. :) We would be happy to have you join us if you are needing a buddy. Leave us a message maybe the day before at the front desk, last name Beckett, we can try and hook up. Also if you look on Bonaire Talk web site, (thread) diving bonaire, there is a diver looking for a buddy, looks like he is staying at Sand Dollar.

Thank you for your responses everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been on in a while (high school, college applications, sports, financial aid forms, job searching, ackk!!!!). For those of you who have confirmed that they will be in Bonaire at the same time as me, how many dives are you looking to do per day and what do you normally search for in a dive? I personally prefer to swim 10-20 feet off the reef and relish being among the schools of fish and looking out to blue water for some of the larger species rather than hovering right over the reef. I would say that I'm in fairly good shape and am very comfortable in the water, so currents and exertion shouldn't be much of a problem. I will be with my family some of the days of course, but on days when I'm ready to go and they aren't I would love to accompany you if you'll have me!
Jake
