Hi,

My son and I recently returned from a week in Port Vila. We dove with Nautilus and I found them to be very friendly, helpful and well organised. The sites around Vila are great for new to intermediate divers - we particularly enjoyed the night dive on the Konanda wreck and the dive at cathedral.

Many thanks to Linda, Thomas, Anna and Peter - I will certainly use Nautilus again if we get the chance to go back!

i only hear good things about Nautils so good to hear they keep a consistant standard

Zeeman mentioned to me last time about a cat.... is it still in the shop??

cheers

My family and I are headed there in early August. I've read a little about the Cathedral dive and I was wondering if it's too advanced for OW divers. My wife and younger daughter are OW certified. Can you give me more details? Actually, I would appreciate any additional details you can think of. I can't wait!

Our dive at Cathedral was to a maximum depth of 24 metres. It is a cave with a big open entrance and a slit along the top that lets plenty of light in. We took torches, but nobody else did. They did help, as it was very cloudy that day so less natural light than would be usual. Also we could see into some of the cracks on the walls. My son and I have AOW (he is junior AOW) but we are fairly inexperienced divers and had no problem with this dive. I think the dives around Port Vila are usually fairly easy - warm water, good visibility, very little current or surge and usually calm surface conditions. Thomas, who was leading us said that they don't go into thecave if there is significant surge anyway. If you have any questions i am sure Nautilus would be happy to answer, email them at diving@vanuatu.com.vu

Have a great trip :D
