So nauticam had basically decided to have an housing because now inon makes the zoom lens
I think this makes sense and also ends the sad story of the G series and no wide angle support
Though really you need two strobes with the inon lens
 
looks like my tax money has another pit to fall into ;)
 
only because we withhold at the higher rate.
 
I doubt it. The 5x zoom has the lens too far from the port to produce anything decent
The inon lens is not expensive actually pretty good value
 
If you're really more of a WA shooter and want the G15, I would look at one of the housing that offer the option to change ports like Recsea, Patima or Isotta. However, in the long run I think the pricing for another port and less expensice WA lens may be more expensive than going with the new Inon setup for shooting WA with this camera.
