Is there a big stink about switching from Naui to Padi? I mean, do I have to take the initial PADI open water or can I just go the next level of PADI from Naui?
-Ooki

You can simply go on to the next level course with most other agencies so long as you meet the prerequisites for that course.

You do not need to go back and take the PADI OW course again, unless you simply want to do that.

What certification are you? Are you a professional or are you an OW diver? IF you're some form of a professional certification, ther are cross-over courses. If you are just looking to progress, I don't think it matters too much. Most places don't make too much of a distinction between NAUI and PADI, so long as you can prove your competence.

Ok, that will work. I am assuming that there really is no big difference between the courses so it should be easy enough. Thanks alot.

Some of the differences aren't so subtle (but that also might be due to the instructor), but it isn't something you can't pick up on the fly (at least what I've seen).

"it isn't something you can't pick up on the fly"

You probably won't have to pick up anything, except switch to a more liberal table, but it works exactly the same way, so there's no learning involved. You'll likely find yourself ahead of the game.
