Already have my advance class and nitrox. Deciding between doing the NAUI Rescue vs Master Diver Class. Any suggestions on which I should do?

Does the Master Diver class incorporate some of the rescue curriculim. If I do a PADI class eventually which puts me higher in the food chain?

I would say take the rescue course. It is geared for the diver to become more aware of others and the envirorment. How to handle a case by case problem or scenario. The instructor has lots of info to give either one Padi or Naui. (or should have)
I like the idea of education! An informed diver is (or can be) a good diver!
Master Diver just lets you experience other forms of diving you can accomplish!
See you topside! John

NAUI Master diver is the highest non pro rating in the system and it actually means something. YOu will have instructor level knowledge but without the teaching component. There actually is, looking at my student manual quite a bit of rescue covered in the course. You should have first aid, cpr/aed, anyway but it also go overs O2 delivery. I have based some of my new AOW course on the NAUI program as well as IANTD policies and procedures. As a NAUI Master Diver it is quite likely you will have more practical knowledge than some actual instructors. It will only help you. There is no comparison at all between NAUI Master Diver and the PADI Master rating. Not even close.

All NAUI classes incorporate some form of rescue skills. That's just a part of the NAUI training philosophy.

The NAUI Master Diver class is ... to my concern (as a NAUI instructor) the very best class NAUI offers. It is the diving portion of the Divemaster/Instructor training, and goes into a lot of detail on certain skills and subjects that are important for a diver who wants to get into more advanced diving to know.

That said, for someone with just OW/AOW training, I would recommend taking the Rescue class. It will teach you a whole new way to think about diving ... and one that is an important step on the road to self-sufficiency.

As Jim noted above, there is no comparison between the NAUI Master Diver class and the PADI Master Diver recognition program. They are completely different entities that just happen to share the same title.
