According to NAUI's website Nitrox diver is a prerquisite to their leadershio courses. "The minimum age is 18 years for all leadership programs. Certifications as a NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver, NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver, NAUI Nitrox Diver, NAUI Master Scuba Diver, NAUI First Aid for the Diving Professional, NAUI Oxygen Provider (or equivalent) are required. The Skin Diving Instructor certification (formerly Skin Diving Leader) has long been unique to NAUI. It qualifies individuals to train and certify skin divers and conduct snorkeling experience programs. Certification as a NAUI Skin or Open Water Scuba Diver or the equivalent is a prerequisite for this program." I think that this makes the fact that all NAUI instructors can teach Nitrox much more logical. But it also means that any NAUI instructor should have a Nitrox Diver card.
